The multiform, multifunctional, flexible and constantly-evolving Polycentric Museum οf Aigai consisting of distinct units scattered around, embraces and integrates the archaeological site in its entirety, expands through the digital museum - dedicated to Alexander the Great- to the Internet and becomes the «gate» to the vast and multiform Hellenistic world. The archetypal palace of Philip II, the burials of kings and queens, the sanctuaries, the treasures, the Museum- exhibitions recall to the collective memory the forgotten royal Metropolis. The city of Aigai «revives» and is taking its proper place in the modern cultural map, and the visitor meets, here, the world history's great personalities. Sites & Museums of Aigai
